'Imaginary Leaps' presents early years visual arts workshops
with a multitude of themes, to suit any group from Sarah Hicks.
Her art play sessions draw inspiration from the natural world,
and enable children and families to experience nature through
creative practice. Working with found ephemera and recycled
materials, alongside conventional art materials, Sarah’s workshops
enable imaginative, creative play, transforming natural objects
from the everyday to the extraordinary. She introduces a range
of art techniques- painting, printing, collage, sculpture, mixed
media, photo montage, photography, graphic design, mosaic, graffiti
and many more!
Workshops include -
> Creating inspiring environments as a starting point for
storytelling and creative play,
> Outdoor arts play, exploring the shapes,
colours and textures of nature,
> Image making by using and drawing inspiration
from natural materials,
> Using found objects from everyday life
to create images, characters, stories and much more,
> Junk modelling and sculpture to create
imaginary worlds and characters
> Interactive installations
> Making Shadow puppets & play
> Puppetmaking from natural materials
> Clay play
All of the workshops work on the basis of quality interaction
with the children, to enable them to harness their innate creativity
and use their imagination to its full extent.
Sarah’s workshops always receive extremely positive feedback.
She is also experienced at working with PMLD young children.
